Perfect for peaceful nights, our Maple Spiced Cherry Nightcap is a soothing, gently spiced sip designed to enjoy before bed. There are three hero ingredients in this simple mocktail – tart cherry juice, maple syrup and cinnamon…and together they create a perfect night-time ritual.
Tart cherry juice is naturally rich in melatonin, the sleep-supporting hormone that helps regulate your circadian rhythm and improve sleep quality. Studies show it may even increase total sleep time and reduce the time it takes to fall asleep. Readily available in grocery stores or online, tart cherry juice can be enjoyed on its own or added to a simple mocktail, like this one!
Maple syrup adds a touch of natural sweetness and warmth, helping to balance the tartness of the cherry juice while also adding a cozy flavor. Depending on the sweeteness of your cherry juice, you might want to add a little extra maple syrup if you wish.
A little cinnamon ties it all together. You can use powdered like we’ve used here, or replace with 1 oz cinnamon tea, which offers both antioxidants and hydration.
Lastly, a splash of orange juice adds brightness and vitamin C. Freshly squeezed is perfect if you have it, but bottled also works well.

Ingredients
- 4 oz tart cherry juice
- 1/2 oz maple syrup
- 1/8 teaspoon powdered cinnamon (or 1 oz cinnamon tea)
- 1 oz orange juice
Garnish
- Cinnamon stick
- Burgundy flower
- Orange slice
How To Make It
Add all ingredients to a shaker, shake, and strain over ice. Garnish with an optional cinnamon stick, orange slice and burgundy viola. Take aa deep breath, relax and sip slowly…sweet dreams await!
