Bedtime Mocktail Series: Calming Chamomile Peach Mocktail

We all love a soothing sip before bed, and this simple mocktail with peach and chamomile is made for winding down. With juicy peach, calming chamomile and a touch of mint, it’s a refreshing and relaxing addition to your evening routine.

Peach is naturally rich in potassium and provides magnesium, two minerals that can help relax the body for support restful sleep. There’s even some evidence that peaches can aid digestion, making them a perfect ingredient for an after-dinner mocktail.

The sweetness of peach pairs perfectly with floral chamomile tea – one of the most studied herbal remedies for sleep. We recommend brewing a double strength batch of chamomile tea for this recipe. To do this, simply use 2 teabags instead of 1 and follow the packet instructions. Any leftover tea can be used for tomorrow nights mocktail!

With the addition of mint for digestion support and maple syrup for a touch of sweetness, this simple recipe is packed with all the right ingredients to help wind down, fall asleep and stay asleep.

Calming Chamomile Peach Mocktail

Ingredients

2 oz (60 ml) store-bought or homemade peach puree (quick method below)
3 oz (90 ml) chilled chamomile tea
6-8 mint leaves
1/2 teaspoon maple syrup
1/4-1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (optional but adds a lovely bite)
Optional garnishes: fresh mint and/or peach slices

Method

Add peach puree, chamomile tea, mint, maple syrup and optional apple cider vinegar to a shaker with a few cubes of ice. Replace the lid and shake well. Strain over fresh ice and garnish with mint and/or fresh peach if you wish.

Homemade peach puree: blend half a ripe, peeled peach or 5 canned peach slices with 1-2 tablespoons of water in a small blender. You can use the peach syrup from the can instead of water if you wish.
