If you’re looking for a calming, hydrating mocktail to help you unwind at the end of a long day, you’ve found it! This soothing blend of blood orange juice, chamomile tea, honey and lime was crafted to bring a little zen to your evenings. It’s deliciously light and refreshing and offers some functional benefits from the chilled chamomile tea.

So, why do these ingredients work so well together?

The brightness and zing of the citrus pairs perfectly with the soft floral of the chamomile tea, while the sweetness of honey ties everything together beautifully.

Blood orange offers a sweet citrus flavor, while also being rich in vitamin C and powerful antioxidants. Not to mention, that amazing color.

Chamomile tea has long been used as a natural way to promote relaxation and better sleep. Its calming properties come from apigenin, a plant compound that may help ease stress and support restful sleep. It also adds a beautiful floral note that is both delicious and soothing.

Lime juice adds a lovely zing, and its acidity helps to balance out the sweetness, while the honey simple syrup provides a smooth, rounded finish with a touch of warmth.

Prefer bubbles? While too many bubbles can cause issues for some right before bed, you do have the option of adding a little soda water or your sparkling beverage of choice. We love using either a lime sparkling water or a little kombucha for a probiotic hit.

Whether you’re winding down for the evening, searching for a new pre-bedtime ritual or simple craving something that is both calming and functional, this simple pour and stir recipe can be made in minutes and is the perfect way to ease into rest.
