If you’re looking for a light, calming mocktail to sip in the evening, this simple blend of kiwi, lemon balm tea and coconut water is the perfect way to wind down before bed.
With an ideal balance of slightly tangy and subtly sweet, it’s been crafted to feel both hydrating and soothing…perfect for those nights when you want something functional without anything too heavy.
Why kiwi fruit you ask? Firstly, it’s naturally rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which help support overall wellness and skin health. Kiwi is also a great source of fiber, and some research has explored its role in supporting sleep when enjoyed in the evening – win win!
Lemon balm tea is well known for its calming properties. Traditionally used to help ease stress and support relaxation, lemon balm has long been enjoyed as a gentle way to settle the nervous system before bed. Brewed and chilled, it adds soft herbal notes that pair beautifully with kiwi.
Coconut water brings natural electrolytes and hydration, helping to replenish the body at the end of the day. Its mild sweetness balances the tartness of the kiwi without the need for much added sweetener.
A pinch of mineral salt enhances the flavor and supports hydration, while a small splash of maple syrup can be added if you prefer a slightly sweeter finish.

Tips + Tricks
- Brew your lemon balm tea slightly stronger than usual, then chill completely before mixing to maximize both flavor and functional benefits.
- Use a ripe kiwi for natural sweetness and the smoothest texture.
- For a smoother drink, strain after blending. Prefer extra fiber? Leave it unstrained.
- Choose a coconut water with no added sugar…coconut water is naturally sweet enough!
- Don’t have a muddler? Simply use the handle end of a wooden spoon or similar.
Whether you’re creating a calming bedtime ritual or simply swapping your evening drink for something that feels nourishing and intentional, this refreshing mocktail is a simple way to unwind and reset.
Evening Exhale Mocktail
Ingredients
- 1 kiwi fruit
- 3 oz (90 ml) lemon balm tea, chilled (we recommend double strength for maximum benefits)
- 2 oz (60 ml) coconut water
- Pinch of mineral salt
- Splash of maple syrup (optional)
Method
Peel and roughly chop the kiwi fruit. Add it to your glass with the optional maple syrup and muddle until the kiwi fruit is in small pieces – small enough to fit through a straw is best! Add some ice to your glass, then pour in the chilled lemon balm tea and coconut water. Add a pinch of salt and stir gently. Garnish with some extra kiwi fruit and lemon if you wish.
Cheers and enjoy!
